Is your skin looking a little dull? Do you have trouble with eczema or acne? Then Korean face sheet masks might be of interest to you. I personally discovered these face sheet masks when I started watching Korean dramas a few years ago. In every drama series there would be an episode or two where the characters would use them and continue to act out the scene.
Now being born in Australia I had never come across such thing before, so I got curious. I discovered that they were made from cotton fabric, with eye, mouth and nose cut-outs (very important if you want to breathe and see 😉). The mask comes in a single-use packet, soaked with serum.
All you need is time- There is simply no mess, no fuss, no extra creams or lotions required. Once you slap it on, you can basically go about your day and let time do the rest. The best part is there is no need to wash it off afterwards!
Me time- When will you have the opportunity to have a date with yourself? 20 minutes is the most you’ll need to unwind, regain focus and be alone to relax. Girl…you have another 1420 minutes of the day to do your work. So go ahead and pamper yourself!
Instant hydration- There are hundreds of face sheet masks on the market that target different skin types, but one thing that they have in common is that they MOISTURISE! Your skin is the biggest organ of the body and your face is no exception, the face has some of the biggest pores and you what them to absorb only the good stuff.
Cost effective- Now for those who want a little facial work done under the knife, I am sure if we had the funds we would probably weigh up the cost and go get it done. But, if you’re like me, that is not the luxury. The benefit of a face sheet mask is as close to a face lift you will get without spending hundreds of dollars on surgery.
In the comfort of your own home- This leads me to the last point of convenience. You don’t need to go to a Spa; in fact you already have the resources at home. Why leave the house when you can perfectly stay in your pajamas and do it all, while watching Netflix on the couch?
Simply by taking a little time for self-care you will not only look and feel better, but you will see immediate results. They may not be dramatic changes but I am a firm believer of prevention, and if wrinkles can keep at bay for longer I will definitely give it a shot. Korean face sheet masks really are time efficient, an excuse to enjoy quite time, instantly hydrating, inexpensive and you can do it in the comforts of your home.
